Research interests: archaeozoology, medieval & modern periods, animal husbandry, hunting, fishing, ZooMS
My work in archaeozoology focuses on animal husbandry, hunting, and fishing during the medieval and modern periods, particularly in the Central Balkans and adjacent regions. By examining the role of animals in subsistence strategies and daily life, I aim to uncover the complexities of human-animal relationships in the past. Using innovative tools like ZooMS, I seek to deepen our understanding of these interactions, providing insights into species identification and the broader ecological and socio-economic context in which they occurred.
